⦁ The client was looking to modernize their freight car service maintenance tracking systems, thereby minimizing the time freight cars sat idle in the maintenance shops and maximizing freight car repair throughput.
⦁ The client required a consulting team with the right technical competencies to design and build a digital platform that would replace their legacy paper-based processes.
⦁ Nucleo conducted a targeted search process to identify consultants who had significant experience in leading greenfield digital transformation initiatives. The project team was comprised of: architects, software developers, data engineers, and QAs.
⦁ Nucleo supported the client through a solution design phase – designing a scalable and flexible architecture that could not only meet their immediate maintenance service platform requirements but, more importantly, scale seamlessly as the platform’s business requirements evolved over time.
⦁ Nucleo created a digital service maintenance platform that allowed the client to retrieve and update freight car maintenance status in real-time thus improving throughput by 30% within one year.
⦁ The platform has become core to the client’s operations and Nucleo continues to deliver the team of consultants to extend capabilities of the platform. Multiple projects are active with 23 consultants currently onsite.
